About Us

Affiliation

Remnant Ministries is not a denominational church, nor are we completely an independent, non-denominational church. We see ourselves as a family of believers, rather than an institution or simple organization. However, in not wanting to be separate ourselves from the rest of the Body of Christ, which we value so much, we have sought out and found in MorningStar Ministries, founded by Rick Joyner, both accountability, and a larger family with whom we may be connected. Senior Leadership:

Joseph Perry is the senior pastor of Remnant Ministries. His heart is to see Christ formed in the Church.

Coy Wood is Pastor of Creative Arts at Remnant Ministries. He desires to release people into their creative abilities. He is also the overseer of worship at Remnant, and oversees the Remnant Worship album projects.

Leadership Team:

Karla Perry is a writer and worldview revitalizer at Remnant whose passion is to equip people for life by engaging them about their worldviews though the mediums of speaking and writing.

Hope Wood oversees Remnant Children’s Church (RCC), and desires that all children would know God experientially, and learn to have a real relationship with Him through Jesus. She wants to see them equipped to hear God personally, and be an active part of the Church.

Vision & Values

Abiding in Christ, Remnant is a community of believers that seek to create an atmosphere where people are free to move in the prophetic and walk in the supernatural. Establishing people in the Word of God, seeking the restoration of those that are broken, and encouraging a life of integrity, we aim to equip people of all ages to affect the world with the Kingdom of God in the home, the marketplace, and abroad.

Core Values:

Creativity
We want to foster an environment of creativity and innovation both in and out of the church.

Honor
We acknowledge and respect people for who God made them to be.

Community
We believe people can only experience the fullness of the Christian life in the context of community with other believers.

Freedom
We believe people should be able to worship and serve God in any way in which He leads them.

Restoration
We want to see everything restored to God’s intended purpose.

Integrity
We want to live our lives according to biblical principles.

How We Got Started

Remnant was started through of a series of prophetic dreams and words that we experienced back in 2005. In obedience to the call we started a fellowship for people that really want to connect to God, and especially all those that feel like they don’t fit in with the present church model, to help them connect to their divine destinies.

For about the first year and a half we met in a home. Believers were taught how to pray for each other and saw many get physically healed on the spot. Other were strengthened and encouraged as believers learned about the prophetic, and how to speak life over each other, and draw out the gold that is hidden deep within each person. People were further grounded in the Word of God, and community life among believers flourished.

Currently we are meeting in a larger facility. Just as any living thing that is healthy grows, we want to make more room for others to come and join our community.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of Scripture as originally given.  The Scriptures are infallible, inerrant, and the sole authority for all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God eternally existing in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible.

For more information: The Triune God

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man.

We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day.

We believe that Jesus ascended into Heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father eternally making intercession for the saints.

We believe in the bodily return of Jesus at the Second Coming to gather His Church to Himself.

We believe in salvation by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins.

For more information: The Journey of Salvation

We believe in water baptism as the Believer’s outward sign of their acceptance of God’s Grace, of dying to their old life, and being raised anew having taken on the life of Christ.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience at or subsequent to salvation, through which Believers are empowered to produce the Fruit of the Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit as recorded in Scripture.

We believe that supernatural acts of power, through Jesus by the Holy Spirit, are to be a part of every Believer’s life.

For more information: The Supernatural Realm

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and his angels and that they will suffer eternal judgment.

We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord’s Supper, for Believers.

We believe in eternal life for Believers and eternal punishment for unbelievers.

We believe that there is one true, universal Church, comprised of genuine Believers.  This true, universal Church is comprised of many local Churches in given localities, each with a unique expression of the truths of Scripture appropriate to the needs of a particular group of people at a given time.

We believe that the governing authorities, both secular and religious, are ordained by God and are to be given the honor and respect they are due according to Scripture.
