Statement of Faith

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of Scripture as originally given.  The Scriptures are infallible, inerrant, and the sole authority for all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God eternally existing in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man.

We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day.

We believe that Jesus ascended into Heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father eternally making intercession for the saints.

We believe in the bodily return of Jesus at the Second Coming to gather His Church to Himself.

We believe in salvation by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins.

We believe in water baptism as the Believer’s outward sign of their acceptance of God’s Grace, of dying to their old life, and being raised anew having taken on the life of Christ.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience at or subsequent to salvation, through which Believers are empowered to produce the Fruit of the Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit as recorded in Scripture.

We believe that supernatural acts of power, through Jesus by the Holy Spirit, are to be a part of every Believer’s life.

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and his angels and that they will suffer eternal judgment.

We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord’s Supper, for Believers.

We believe in eternal life for Believers and eternal punishment for unbelievers.

We believe that there is one true, universal Church, comprised of genuine Believers.  This true, universal Church is comprised of many local Churches in given localities, each with a unique expression of the truths of Scripture appropriate to the needs of a particular group of people at a given time.

We believe that the governing authorities, both secular and religious, are ordained by God and are to be given the honor and respect they are due according to Scripture.
